Esophageal Cancer, Heart, and Hip Joint... God Healed Them All!

In June 2022, I underwent surgery for esophageal cancer. In March 2023, during a routine check-up, the doctor said that there were many lumps in my abdomen and that it appeared to be metastasis. Around that time, I came to know Daejeon Manmin Church. Through GCN, I received much grace as I listened to the sermons of Pastor Emeritus Dr. Jaerock Lee and Senior Pastor Soojin Lee. Each time I listened to the messages, I felt myself being renewed, and I came to long deeply for both pastors. From then on, I consistently received the Prayer for the Sick.
While I listened to the Word, even memories from my childhood?such as stealing money from my father’s pocket?came to mind, leading me to sincere repentance. Then, on April 20 this year, I officially registered at Daejeon Manmin Church. Thereafter, I listened to many sermons, including The Message of the Cross sermon series, and at home I always kept GCN on, continually receiving prayer.
When the time came for my regular check-up, I visited the hospital. The doctor suddenly said, “It’s clean.” Somewhat taken aback, I simply replied, “Yes,” and walked out. But I was so surprised that I asked the nurse again. She explained that the lumps in my abdomen had completely disappeared, which was why the doctor had said so. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, and tears flowed down my face. Hallelujah!
In addition, during a routine check-up in 2024, fluid was discovered around my heart. I often felt short of breath while walking and had to adjust my pace because of it. But recently, while receiving another ultrasound at the cardiology department, the doctor tilted his head in surprise and said, “The fluid that was around your heart has completely dried up.” Hallelujah!
And that is not all. About ten years ago, I was involved in a motorcycle accident after drinking, which resulted in a fractured hip joint. Since then, I had suffered pain for ten years. Because of pain in my hip and knee, I walked with a limp, and when the pain grew severe, I could not even sleep without applying pain relief patches.
One day, I heard that our church would be visiting the resting place of Pastor Emeritus and Ms. Boknim Lee. Since I had longed for Pastor Emeritus so much, I joined with a heart filled with longing and gratitude. When we arrived, I felt such peace in my heart. Afterwards, there was a time of fellowship with Pastor Miyoung Lee, and there I received her prayer. On the way back home in the car, I suddenly realized that the pain in my hip and knee was gone.
Normally, whenever I rode in a car for more than an hour, my hip and knee would ache and feel numb. But that day, there was no pain at all. When I got home, I felt a little discomfort again, but during this Summer Retreat, I received the prayer for the sick from Pastor Soojin Lee, along with Pastor Miyoung Lee’s prayer, and I was completely healed. Since then, I have been free from all pain and able to live in comfort.
Also, the athlete’s foot that I had suffered from for forty years disappeared after I repeatedly received prayer for the sick from Pastor Soojin Lee. I don’t even know exactly when it was healed. Nowadays, as I listen to the Word and strive to be changed, I feel God’s love in every moment. Even just seeing flowers makes me happy. I give all thanks and glory to God who has healed me of every disease.
