[Special I] Manmin's Young Adults Were United as One at Manmin Summer Retreat
From August 1st to 4th, the 2011 Six-United Mission's Summer Retreat was held at the Hyundai Seongwoo Resort, Gangwon province. The members were united as one with the chord of the Holy Spirit binding them and they showed their eagerness for the Lord during the retreat. Let's take a look at the photos of members of the six missions: Young Adults' Mission; College Mission; Canaan Mission; Paul's Mission; Mary's Mission; and Light and Salt Mission.
Campfire Praise and Worship
The Campfire Praise and Worship is the highlight of Manmin Summer Retreat. This year, Pastor Soojin Lee led the event. The members of the six missions sang the God-given song, 'I Have Nothing but the Lord'. Their eyes were filled with the love for God and the Lord who have protected them and walked with them throughout the 2011 Manmin Summer Retreat. When they were full of grace and passion for the Lord, they had time to talk on the phone to Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee, who was praying in the mountain prayer house. They felt the sincere love of the Senior Pastor, who always harbors them in his heart and prays for them. Each one of members made up their mind individually to run toward New Jerusalem.
Education Sessions and Fullness of the Holy Spirit Prayer Meeting
Pastor Soojin Lee, president of Pastors' Association, and Pastor Mikyung Lee, First Grand Great Parish Leader gave lectures and spiritually touched the hearts of the attendees. Mrs. Boknim Lee, president of Manmin Prayer Center, led the Fullness of the Holy Spirit Prayer Meeting where Manmin's young adults repented and became renewed.
'Happy Time with Dragonflies' and 'Time to Watch Wonders in the Sky'
Mysterious dragonfly swarms have appeared in Manmin Summer Retreat every year without fail. The members of the Six-United Mission had time with dragonflies that sat on their fingertips, faces, and shoulders. They also saw the Milky Way, shooting stars, and moving stars in the sky.
Athletic Meet
God hid the sun with clouds so that the members could enjoy the Athletic Meet in weather that was cool and pleasant like autumn. The six missions competed in 100-Meter Race, Relay Races, Marathon, Fill-the-Tower-Ball Toss, Spot-Kick Shoot Out, and Cheering Competition. The Canaan Mission won the first place, and the College Mission took the second place. Brother Hyungbae Park and Sister Seonmi Yoon were given MVP awards, and the Cheering Award went to the Young Adults' Mission who gave a wonderful cheering performance with drums.
