“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. After they had mocked Him, they took the scarlet robe off Him and put His own garments back on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.” (Matthew 27:29-31) ...
The following is a testimony of an ordinary layman sister in Christ. Soon after accepting Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit, she realized that God's will for her was found in engaging in evangelization. Without knowing how to go about spreading the gospel to others, however, one day she heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling her, "Share your portions." She looked around to see what she had and realized that in addition to her elegant knowledge of Jesus Christ, she could knit delicately and make dumplings neatly. She first studied the physical figures of her neighbor's children, knitted sweaters for them, and presented the sweaters to the children along with fliers containing the gospel. She also gave dumplings she had made with the greatest care when they were still hot. Then one day, her neighbor asked her, "Don't you go to church? Can I come with you on one of the Sundays?" "What? You'll come to church? Are you sure?" This may seem a passive approach but the path to saving souls starts with being good and friendly neighbors who share their portions with others.
