Thanks and glory to God, rich in love and grace! Thanksgiving Sunday service and online Holy Communion

On November 15th, the Thanksgiving Sunday, our church held a thanksgiving service and the Holy Communion. In the morning worship service, there was a video sermon by the Senior Pastor Rev. Jaerock Lee, entitled “The Abundant Providence of God” (Psalm 50:23). During the evening service held through the LAN cable, pastor Hyunkwon Joo, the chairman of the Seniors’ Council, preached the message entitled, “One Who Forgot to Give Thanks and One Who Gives Thanks” (Psalm 50:22-23; John 6:53-55) and then performed the Holy Communion.

The Holy Communion was held online. The members of our church as well as 48 overseas local church members who participated through the LAN cable prepared bread and grape juice, representing the flesh and blood of the Lord, and attended the Holy Communion in each place with reverence. Members said they had a meaningful time to remember the love of the cross and the great grace of the Lord.



This year’s Thanksgiving Day decorations were offered with a total of 88 kinds of fruits including 32 grains, 22 fruits, and 34 vegetables. The decoration expressed the heart of the congregation who wants to come out as beautiful fruits with the love of Father God who created the sun, the moon, and the stars, and created us and waited long for us to become His true children. The decoration was supervised by Women’s Mission with the voluntary service and support of the members of the Maintenance Bureau and many church members.
