“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. Some people cannot enjoy peace of heart even though they lead a diligent Christian life. It is not because they love God that they obey the Word, but because they keep it out of fear of punishment.
As a result, at some point, if they violate the Word, they lose their nerve. If you are like them, you must try harder to love God rather than to stick to the action itself.
As much as you realize the love of God who loves you to the point that He gave up His only begotten Son Jesus Christ on the cross, you will not only enjoy true peace, but you will love God and willingly obey His Word.
