The Feast of Harvest Sunday Service and Holy Communion 2023
On July 2, 2023, our church held the Feast of Harvest Sunday Services and Holy Communion, which was broadcast live around the world through GCN (www.gcntv.org). In the Sunday Morning Service Senior Pastor Jaerock Lee preached a sermon titled ‘God Protects Us’ (Exodus 8:22), and in the Sunday Evening Service, Acting Senior Pastor Soojin Lee gave a sermon titled ‘Reasons for Thanksgiving’ (Psalm 100:1-5). In the message, Pastor Soojin Lee spoke of the reason we cannot help but give thanks always: we were doomed to fall into hell because of our sins but forgiven of our sins and received the right to become children of God through the salvation of the cross; we have the hope for eternal heaven; we have been called as God’s fellow workers in His kingdom; and we have spiritual faith that enables us to experience God’s works that make the impossible possible and what is possible go even better. In her prayer she asked us to give greater thanks to the Lord and Father God for the grace of salvation and for giving us the citizenship of heaven and strengthening us to live a victorious life, and to give glory to God through answers and testimonies. Acting Senior Pastor officiated the Holy Communion and it was attended by many believers at home and abroad through GCN as well those in each service room and local sanctuary. They ate and drank bread and grape juice symbolizing the flesh and blood of the Son of Man with overflowing gratitude for the love of the Lord.
