“Pop! After Five Years, My Wars Opened”
New Update
Five years ago, I had a hearing test at an otolaryngology clinic because I could not hear sounds well, and I was diagnosed with “congenital hearing loss.” The doctor said that if this difficulty continued, I might eventually need to wear hearing aids. In particular, I often could not clearly hear moderately loud voices or the ends of words, so I would misunderstand what was said or have to ask people to rep ...

“Freed from 10 Years of Suffering from Cystic Acne”

Kim Kyung-yoon | Female, 27, Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do

I started getting acne back in middle school and have been stressed out by it for over ten years. As the breakouts kept coming back over such a long period, my worries about my skin naturally grew. Even after entering adulthood past my teenage years, the acne didn't seem to go away, and red inflammation broke out not only on my chin but also on my cheeks. I also had large, inflammatory acne with pus breaking out.
As soon as one spot subsided, another would appear somewhere else, so there was hardly a day when my face was free of acne. Even when my skin seemed to improve for a while, new breakouts would appear again and again. When the inflammation was severe, even washing my face was uncomfortable, and my skin continued to itch and hurt. When I wore makeup to cover the acne, the itching and stinging became even worse, making me reluctant to wear makeup.

As the acne and scars continued from adolescence through my college years, I felt embarrassed and distressed about showing my face when meeting people. Even with makeup, I could not completely cover my acne, so I felt as if people were looking only at my skin. Wherever I went, I envied people with clear skin. Whenever I looked in the mirror, the acne and scars were the first things I noticed, and it often made me feel discouraged.
I tried cosmetics that were said to be good for acne and changed my cleansing products several times. I even changed my lifestyle and eating habits by trying to lose weight and reduce skin irritation, but nothing seemed to make much difference. I tried various methods, but my skin did not improve as much as I had hoped, and I gradually became exhausted. Eventually, I thought, “I guess I just have to live with this kind of skin.” I lived without even expecting it to get better easily anymore.
Then, in May this year, I was invited to the Gethsemane Prayer House event as a volunteer. I went to the Prayer House with a desire to resolve the skin problem I had struggled with for more than 10 years. I wanted to entrust it to God in prayer and experience the work of healing for myself. A few weeks before the visit, I began using Muan Sweet Water on my face every morning and evening. The acne on my cheeks gradually began to decrease, but new breakouts were still appearing.
So I asked Pastor Soojin Lee to pray for me, and at the Prayer House, after receiving her prayer, I also prayed earnestly for the restoration of my skin. After spending a happy and joyful time there and returning home, I noticed a clear change in my skin. Instead of new acne continuing to appear as usual, I could feel my skin gradually changing. First, no new acne appeared on my cheeks, and about a week later, I no longer had new breakouts on my chin either.
Previously, I would get new acne every two or three days, but it decreased to one spot a week and then to one every two weeks. The acne that had continued without a break for more than 10 years had noticeably decreased. I am still using Muan Sweet Water regularly, and the scars remaining on my face are also gradually fading. For me, who had struggled with skin problems for so long, these changes are truly a source of gratitude and joy. I give all thanks and glory to God the Father who healed the skin problem that had troubled me for so long.
